Professor Liu En-Ming was born in 1944 and belongs in the majority ethnic group of China that is called Han (Hàn, 汉). He is the founder of the unique Chinese Medicine technique “Filiform Fire Needling”, a consultant of the Acupuncture Association in the city of Zhongshan in Guandong province and a member of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association. He has published scientific articles in Japan, Hong Kong and mainland China. He has repeatedly participated in the WHO’s meetings for acupuncture and moxibustion. He was the leader of the a clinic in Vladivostok for several years, a researcher in Hong Kong Acupuncture and Moxibustion Research Center and now the president and the chief researcher of the Chinese Medicine Unique Treatment Institute in Hong Kong. In 1968 he graduated from Jiamusi Medical College.
In 1998 his published article “External Electro-Acupuncture Quick Treatment for Facial Paresis” was included in the selection of articles of “World’s Prestigious Doctors Archives” in Hong Kong and he received the “World Doctor’s Achievement Award”. In 1999 in the Symposium of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association he published an article about the “Use of Fire Needle in Ear Acupuncture” thus filling the gap of this field of knowledge. In 2005 participated in the Symposium of the Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies, where he published an article with the title “Brief Theory about Filiform Fire Needling”. That was the first time this term was ever used and the “Filiform Fire Needle” became China’s national patent (patent announcement day on 25th April 2012). In 2011 he published his book “Liu’s Filiform Fire Needle”.
In 2013 Filiform Fire Needling was officially recognized and accepted by the China’s Chinese Medicine Authorities and Liu En-Ming as the leader of this technique.
Dr. Dimitriou Ioannis met Liu En Ming in a course of Filiform Fire Needling in Beijing China early in 2014, organized by the Beijing Acupuncture and Tuina Association. Since this technique is unique with instant healing results that cannot be obtained with any other method, his vision is to introduce and spread Filiform Fire Needling outside China in order to serve the people’s need for healing.
